View From the Road: Rusted Hopes
In Bentham’s View From the Road project, he explores the duality of America on his motorcycle journeys throughout Central New York and beyond. Bentham seeks out and interprets often overlooked, widely ignored scenes, culminating in a series of images representing a quintessential American tableaux, many of which embrace the automobile as a metaphor for freedom, affluence, achievement, and status.
